Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle routine civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters in a primarily remote role within California. You will support claims representatives and policyholders, manage cases from start to finish, and use e-discovery tools to streamline processes.

Under moderate supervision, you will deliver legal research, writing, and strategic advice while maintaining strong client communications and collaboration with senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• California bar admission in good standing.
• Knowledge of insurance and workers’ compensation law helpful.
• Proficiency with e-discovery and case management tools.
• Strong legal writing, research and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil litigation from inception to resolution.
• Provide legal opinions and strategic guidance to claims teams and clients.
• Utilize e-discovery and case management tech to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain timely, accurate client communication and documentation.
