You will handle moderately complex civil litigation involving claims for monetary damages or personal injuries, representing Liberty Mutual and policyholders with skilled advocacy and ethical practice.

The role emphasizes strong research, writing, and negotiation abilities, along with leadership in mentoring junior attorneys and staff.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB from an accredited law school.
Bar admission to the Colorado bar in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of successful trial attorney experience in insurance-related litigation.
Strong research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Independently manage all phases of litigation for claims of moderate to heavy value.
Draft pleadings, motions and legal documents with precision.
Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations.
Support Senior Trial Counsel in case handling from discovery through trial.
Develop advanced legal strategies for discovery, investigation, and trial prep.
Utilize e‑discovery tools and data analysis to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
Provide strategic legal opinions to clients and Claims Representatives.
Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff; lead training sessions.
Ensure documents are accurate and compliant with MRPC and regulatory standards.
