Qualifications

• JD or LLB from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in California in good standing; ability to practice before boards or federal courts may be required.
• Minimum of 5 years trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law and related litigation.
• Proven success managing moderately complex litigation with favorable outcomes.
• General knowledge of insurance law and related practices.
• Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with e-discovery tools and remote collaboration technologies.

Responsabilités

• Manage all phases of litigation for moderate to heavy value claims (up to ~$50,000 exposure).
• Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Support Senior Trial Counsel and Senior Litigation Counsel through all case stages.
• Develop advanced legal strategies for discovery, investigation and trial prep.
• Utilize e-discovery tools, case management systems, and data analysis software.
• Advise clients and Claims Representatives with clear, strategic legal opinions.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff; contribute to process improvements.
