Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks an Associate Attorney to represent the company and its policyholders in routine civil litigation and workers' compensation matters in California, under moderate supervision. This role emphasizes a healthy work-life balance and remote work options.

You will manage cases from inception through resolution, using your research, writing, and client-relationship skills, with opportunities for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• JD or LLB from an accredited law school.
• California bar admission in good standing; licenses may be required for boards/federal courts.
• Knowledge of insurance law and, as necessary, workers' compensation.
• Proficient in e-discovery, case management systems, and basic legal analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills.
• Basic negotiation techniques: preparation, active listening, problem-solving.
• Ability to manage cases from start to finish under supervision.
• Effective communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral.

• Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution, including discovery, hearings, and trials.
• Provide clear legal opinions and strategic advice to Claims Representatives and insured clients.
• Utilize e-discovery and case management tech to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and help mitigate legal risks in collaboration with clients and senior counsel.
• Ensure all legal documents are accurate and compliant with standards.
• Provide timely updates to insured clients and claims professionals to align with case goals.
• Participate in initiatives to improve efficiency within Staff Legal and Global Legal & Compliance.
• Uphold high ethical standards and licensing requirements.
