Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting in a government contracting environment. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with project accounting and ASC 606 billing.

The role involves processing AP, vendor inquiries, and participating in internal/external audits with DCAA and DCMA. Strong GAAP knowledge and Unanet proficiency are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Three or more years of general ledger or staff accounting experience, including government contractor exposure.
• Experience with Unanet (timekeeping, expense, project, or financial modules).
• Knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
• Strong GAAP understanding and account reconciliation practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation).
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and Single Audit requirements.

Aufgaben

• Support general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations; analyze results.
• Assist with project accounting, labor cost distribution, and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Process vendor/invoice payments, maintain vendor records, and respond to audits.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure strong financial controls and deadlines.
• Support annual Form 1099 filings and audits (DCAA, DCMA, external).
• Review invoices for subcontract terms, rates, ceilings, and period of performance.
