Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting in a government contracting environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience, including government contractor experience.
• Working knowledge of Unanet and GAAP.
• Knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA, and indirect rate structures.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).
• Experience supporting audits and contract billing under ASC 606.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Support project accounting, labor cost distribution, and revenue recognition for various contract types.
• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices and manage accruals.
• Assist with forms like 1099 and support audits from DCAA/DCMA.
