Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable in a government contracting environment. The role partners with the Accounting Manager and program managers to ensure strong financial controls and timely reporting.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to Unanet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required).
• 3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience, including government contractor exposure preferred.
• Experience with Unanet modules (timekeeping, expense, project, or financial).
• Knowledge of GAAP, FAR Part 31, and DCAA/DCMA audit requirements is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Maintain general ledger and month-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support project accounting, labor cost distribution, and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Process AP including vendor/subcontractor invoices and payments; manage accruals and 1099s.
• Assist audits by DCAA/DCMA and external auditors; ensure compliance with federal contracting regs.
