Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral and mental health technology, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role supports month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist month-end close with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Support external auditors with required documentation and GAAP compliance.
