Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant for a remote role, based in Minnesota. You will support general ledger, month-end close, and accounts payable in a government contracting/federally funded environment.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, project accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and contract billing across various contract types, coordinating with the Accounting Manager and program staff to ensure strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with Unanet and GL processing.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and reconciliation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot, lookups, data reconciliation).
• Familiarity with FAR Part 31 and DCAA requirements.
• Experience supporting audits (DCAA, DCMA, external auditors).
• Ability to work under close deadlines and maintain internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Support project accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and billing.
• Process vendor invoices and perform three-way matching.
• Prepare 1099 filings and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Assist audits and ensure FAR compliance.
