Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health seeks a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable in a government contracting environment, preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

You will assist with ASC 606 revenue recognition, project billing, vendor payments in Unanet, audits, and internal controls in collaboration with the Accounting Manager. This is a remote, fulltime role with 40 hours/week and minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Three (3) or more years of general ledger or staff accounting experience, including at least two (2) years with a government contractor or federally funded organization.
• Hands-on experience with Unanet, including GL processing and month-end utilities.
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and account reconciliation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and reclassifications, in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and close activities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Assist with project setup, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and billing across contracts.
• Review vendor invoices and assist with audits and compliance.
