Job summary

Monetary Metals is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our high-growth team. This remote role reports to the Controller and will own core accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of accounting experience, a solid grasp of GAAP, and strong Excel skills. You will support A/P, GL maintenance, and financial reporting while collaborating with a motivated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: receive and validate invoices from vendors.
• Obtain necessary internal approvals for invoice payments.
• General upkeep of accounts payable in our accounting system.
• Send remittances to vendors to ensure payments are applied correctly.
• Bank Transactions: record and classify bank transactions accurately.
• General Ledger Maintenance: post journal entries, reconcile, and document transactions.
• Financial Reporting: assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Audit Support: provide documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned.
