Origin-Mining-Company,-LL seeks an Accountant to uphold accurate financial records and support the close process. Reporting to the Controller, you will prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and analyze variances while collaborating with operations and supply chain teams.

You will contribute to annual audits, AR/AP tasks as needed, and maintain fixed assets. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are essential in a fast-paced mining environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; an associate’s degree combined with substantial relevant accounting experience may be considered.
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with IFRS preferred.
• Background in public accounting or auditing is preferred.
• Experience in the mining, manufacturing, or construction industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office suite.
• Experience working with an integrated ERP and financial-reporting environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Responsabilidades

• Prepare general journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items promptly.
• Maintain recurring schedules and continuity schedules supporting the general ledger.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, account analyses, and budget-to-actual and period-over-period variance explanations.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in accordance with established deadlines.
• Partner with operations and supply-chain personnel to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory and operating costs.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions as needed.
• Maintain Fixed Assets subledger and related processes.
• Support maintenance of policies and procedures documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to work with and analyze financial data and support business decisions.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and clear communication while interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
