Job summary

GlobalTimesOnline is seeking a Staff Accountant for a fully remote position. You will own month-end close tasks, manage journal entries, and reconcile accounts while supporting the finance team across subscription and advertising revenue streams.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work across systems. A CPA track is a plus, and candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close.
• Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel skills and large data handling.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• CPA or CPA track is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own month end close tasks, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile subscription and advertising revenue across systems.
• Assist with financial statements and management reporting.
• Support audits, tax filings and compliance requests.
• Help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
