Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable in a government contracting or federally funded environment. The role involves journal entries, reconciliations, and ASC 606 revenue recognition across various contracts, collaborating with the Accounting Manager and program staff.

You will review vendor invoices in Unanet, perform three-way matching, manage accruals, prepare Form

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Three or more years of general ledger or staff accounting, including at least two years with government contractor or federally funded organization.
Hands-on experience with Unanet, including GL processing and month-end utilities.
Working knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, A/R, AP, accruals, fixed assets).
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Prepare schedules and analyses (budget-to-actual, variance reports).
Maintain chart of accounts and organizational structure with Accounting Manager.
Support labor cost distribution and timekeeping compliance.
