Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health in the United States is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable within a government contracting environment. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, analyze results, and support budget-to-actual reporting to ensure GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities include labor cost distribution, ASC 606 revenue recognition, contract billing, and coordinating with the Accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Three or more years in general ledger or staff accounting, with government contractor exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Unanet and month-end processing.
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 31 and DCAA audit requirements.
• Strong GAAP and balance sheet reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, etc.).
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Process vendor/subcontractor invoices and perform three-way matching.
• Assist with project accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and billing.
• Support audits with DCAA/DCMA requests and external auditors.
