Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support general ledger, month-end close, and accounts payable in a government contracting environment. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with ASC 606 revenue recognition and contract billing across various contract types.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years general ledger or staff accounting experience, with 2+ years in government contracting or federally funded organization.
• Hands-on experience with Unanet (GL processing and month-end utilities).
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
• Strong GAAP understanding and account reconciliation practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation).
• Ability to obtain/maintain background investigation as required.

• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, amortization, depreciation, reclassifications) per GAAP.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, unbilled, AP, accruals, fixed assets).
• Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end close processes within deadlines.
• Prepare schedules and analyses (budget-to-actual, variance for overhead/GA).
• Maintain chart of accounts and organizational structure with Accounting Manager.
• Support labor cost distribution, timekeeping compliance, and reconciliations.
• Assist with project setup, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and billing across contract types.
• Prepare documentation for DCAA/DCMA and audits; respond to requests.
