Job summary

MediaNews Group, including its Adtaxi division, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our remote team and support finance reporting across the business. You will analyze revenue and expense accounts, prepare variance analyses, and assist with weekly projections and annual budgets.

You will leverage Oracle SmartView and Oracle Cloud EPM for financial reporting, build forecasting models, and help maintain accurate financial processes and controls with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and modeling abilities, with attention to variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring, and creating financial models for revenue, expense, and strategic objectives.
• Improve financial performance by analyzing results; monitor variances and compare actuals to plans and forecasts.
• Work with Oracle SmartView and Oracle Cloud EPM financial reporting.
• Demonstrate strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities.
• Document financial processes, controls, and reporting workflows.
