Job summary

MediaNews Group seeks a Staff Accountant to analyze revenue and expense data, prepare variance reports, and support budgeting and projections across the organization. The role involves advanced Excel, Oracle SmartView, and Oracle Cloud EPM for finance reporting and model building.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics.
• Advanced Excel skills including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH.
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue and expense accounts and prepare variance reports.
• Create financial models to support decision making and planning.
• Assist with weekly projections and annual budgets; maintain finance reporting across business areas.
• Coordinate with various teams to implement financial controls and processes.
