Job summary

MediaNews Group is seeking a Finance Analyst to analyze financial data, build models, and support budgeting processes for decision making. You will contribute to weekly and annual planning cycles by comparing actual results with forecasts and developing automated reporting tools across multiple business areas.

The role requires strong Excel proficiency, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics with two years of related experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with Advanced Excel.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and develop financial models for decision support.
• Support weekly Flash and annual budgeting by comparing results to plans and forecasts.
• Develop automated reporting/forecasting tools and maintain finance reporting across business areas.
