Job summary

Mobiz IT, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to own end-to-end transactional accounting and monthly close using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This ownership role handles revenue deferrals, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany tasks across multiple legal entities and currencies. You will code entries with full department/project/site dimensions, collaborate with the Controller, and help ensure accurate profitability reporting by customer and project.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end close processes and journal entries.
• Ability to post deferrals, accruals and amortization.
• Experience with reconciling multiple accounts across entities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post recurring close journal entries with revenue deferrals and accruals.
• Code entries with full dimension sets and attach documentation in Business Central.
• Route entries to Controller for approval and maintain archive.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and lines of credit monthly, aiming for weekly cadence.
• Prepare intercompany cross-charge entries and reconcile due-to / due-from balances.
• Own payroll allocation and ensure allocated totals match payroll.
• Produce monthly P&L by department and perform variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by compiling actuals and trends.
