Job summary

CIVIE is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable across three entities. The role is supported by AI-enabled accounting software to streamline routine processing.

It offers a remote work arrangement with a salary range of $66,000 to $80,000 per year and opportunities to grow into monthly reporting and analytics. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of accounting experience with proficiency in QuickBooks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with direct AP/AR responsibility.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com required.
• Experience across multiple entities preferred.
• Comfortable with AI-enabled or automated accounting tools as processes evolve.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP and AR workflows across multiple entities.
• Review, code, and approve vendor invoices.
• Generate and send customer invoices; monitor collections.
• Reconcile AP and AR subledgers to the general ledger for each entity.
• Flag cash flow implications from AP/AR trends to Controller.
• Support month-end close by ensuring AP and AR accuracy.
• Maintain consistency in AP/AR processes across all entities.
• Sort mail and forward items to remote team members.
