Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Authorization to represent claimants before the SSA.
• Experience representing claimants at SSA disability hearings.
• Strong knowledge of SSA disability regulations, hearing procedures, medical evidence, and vocational issues.
• Ability to prepare efficiently and meet hearing deadlines in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned electronic case files, exhibits and medical evidence.
• Identify theories of the case, evidentiary gaps, vocational issues and questions for the ALJ.
• Conduct pre-hearing preparation with the claimant and set expectations.
• Appear at scheduled SSA disability hearings and provide professional representation.
• Develop claimant testimony and question experts when appropriate.
• Provide post-hearing summaries and any required follow-up.
