Heard & Smith, a leading disability law firm, seeks a licensed full-time attorney to join its busy team. You will provide legal advice, prepare for and represent clients at disability hearings before SSA ALJs, with a strong emphasis on clear client communication.

Candidates should have 1–3+ years in Social Security Disability law, at least 200 hearings, the ability to travel up to 80%, and must be licensed in CA, TX, GA, FL, NV, TN, DC, NC, or SC; remote home-office setup encouraged.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney (Attorney License) required.
• 1–3+ years in Social Security Disability law.
• 200+ hearings before SSA ALJs.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Reliability and dependability.
• Residence in one of CA, TX, GA, FL, NV, TN, DC, NC, or SC.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients and represent them at disability hearings before SSA Administrative Law Judges.
• Perform legal writing at ALJ and Appeals Council levels.
• Communicate with clients by phone, mail, and email throughout the disability process.
