UnitedHealth Group seeks a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to build and operate resilient cloud platforms across Azure and AWS. You will drive automation, observability, and IaC, collaborating with development, security, and networking teams to ensure reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Kubernetes in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus).
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure including AKS, ACR, VNets, subnets, NSGs, load balancers, Private Endpoints, Application Gateway, Front Door, Traffic Manager, and Key Vault.
• 3+ years of ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation following documented procedures and escalation paths.
• 2+ years of experience in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and support IaaS and PaaS infrastructure in Azure and AWS.
• Define, track, and report on SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs with development teams.
• Develop and support platform services, including provisioning, configuration, deployment, and day-to-day operations.
• Implement cloud-native deployments on Azure including AKS, ACR, and Network services.
• Integrate applications with centralized logging, monitoring, metrics, and incident systems.
• Tune observability tools to help teams operate production apps safely.
• Support on-call rotation and runbooks; RCA remediation and automation.
• Maintain and enhance tooling and scripts for platform and service support.
