Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator with SQL Server expertise
• Proficiency with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance
• Experience with cloud-hosted relational databases, including AWS MySQL
• Advanced T-SQL skills including DDL, DML, stored procedures, and query optimization
• Familiarity with Entity Framework and its SQL generation patterns
• Working knowledge of AI tools in database management and automation

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce information security practices for data assets
• Identify and report security risks affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Ensure data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA) are met in data handling
• Maintain production SQL Server environments across Azure and AWS
• Author and optimize T‑SQL queries, procedures, and schema changes
• Perform query performance tuning via execution plans and indexing
• Collaborate with the lead architect on production decisions
• Understand production schemas, data flows, and system architecture
• Support EF-based applications by optimizing generated SQL
• Leverage AI tooling to enhance database operations and monitoring
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and risks
