Job summary

Network Health is seeking a Database Administrator to design, implement, monitor, and optimize our SQL-based databases. You will ensure data availability, security, and performance while enforcing change management and deployment standards.

The role requires collaboration across IT and development teams and occasional travel to support production environments. Ideal candidates have extensive MS-SQL experience, Azure SQL deployment and tuning skills, and a solid background in database security,

Qualifications

• 5 years of MS-SQL experience including SSMS, SSRS and SSIS.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance: deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, security.
• 2 years of database administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases; collaborate with development staff on architectures and standards.
• Install, configure and test database systems (new and upgrades); assess impact of releases with infrastructure, developers, QA as needed.
• Monitor database performance, optimize stored procedures and execution times; apply patches and new versions as required.
• Develop and implement data backup, recovery plans, storage/archiving, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Control access permissions to maintain data integrity and security.
• Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
• Provide long-term perspective on database technology relation to business opportunities and capacity planning.
• Assist IT Production Control with code deployments and job schedules.
• Maintain professional knowledge and pursue ongoing development in the field.
