GovCIO is hiring a Software Quality Assurance tester to support the Health Services Portfolio Technical Management and Strategic Solutioning Support (HTMS) program within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT). This role is a fully remote position within the United States.

Core office hours are 8am - 5pm ET. The candidate will design, develop, and implement testing methods, create test plans and scripts, plan test events, track defects, and assist with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with 10 years of experience; 8 years may substitute for education.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle.
• Experience testing Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), GUI applications and Section 508.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Proficient with MS SharePoint and MS Teams.
• Experience using Jira in an Agile or SAFe environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment.
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision.

Responsabilités

• Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment to ensure the product will perform to specifications.
• Create test plans and test scripts, plan test events, and track problems and errors identified.
• Coordinate with test sites and team members to plan test events.
• Develop testing procedures, test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.
• Implement testing processes and produce reports on each test activity; track metrics.
