Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a SQA tester to support the Health Services Portfolio Technical Management and Strategic Solutioning Support (HTMS) program within VA OIT. This is a fully remote position within the United States, with core hours 8am–5pm ET.

You will design and implement testing methods, develop test plans and scripts, track defects, and report test metrics while collaborating with developers, end users, and teams to ensure quality across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 10 years of experience; 8 additional years may substitute education
• Experience in the software development lifecycle
• Experience testing Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), GUI applications and 508 compliance
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Proficient with MS SharePoint and MS Teams
• Experience using Jira in an Agile or SAFe environment
• Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements testing methods to ensure product meets specifications
• Create test plans and test scripts with developers and end users
• Coordinate with test sites and teams to plan test events
• Develop testing procedures, plans, scripts, scenarios, and tests (functional/regression/deployment)
• Produce reports and track test metrics; monitor process improvement and report to management
