Job summary

Integral is seeking a QA/Automation Engineer to build and maintain automated testing across functional, performance, and security domains for VA IT solutions. You will support Agile teams, drive test coverage in CI/CD pipelines, and ensure 508 accessibility compliance throughout the SDLC.

The role requires 6–10 years of experience in testing, familiarity with GitHub/Jira, and strong data/API testing capabilities. McLean, VA-based opportunity with a focus on secure, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or IT related field required.
• Experience covering functional, regression, performance, 508 accessibility, and security testing.
• Experience supporting Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation.
• Experience conducting pre‑ and post‑release testing, synthetic monitoring, and load/performance testing.
• Experience producing Release Quality Metrics Reports and contributing to independent testing (IV&V, ISQA).
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
• Demonstrated performance with Oracle/SQL; relational/non-relational data; APIs; ETL/ELT; data models/dictionaries; migration architecture; reconciliation.
• Public Trust.

Overview

The QA/Automation Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and executing automated testing capabilities that ensure the quality, reliability, accessibility, performance, and security for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated testing frameworks, including functional, regression, performance, Section 508 accessibility, and security testing.
