Oxley Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to ensure software quality for federal projects, including support for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The role combines automated and manual testing and requires collaboration with developers, end users, and cross-functional teams to design test plans and scripts. The position is remote in the United States with a strong emphasis on delivering defect-free software and comprehensive test documentation.

Qualifications

• 4 years automation software testing experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience creating and executing automated test scripts
• Experience building test plans
• Agile methodology and sprint-based testing cycles
• Experience bug-tracking with Jira
• Experience documenting tests and reports
• Experience executing manual test scripts
• Experience working with developers and software teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience supporting a federal government department (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes system specifications
• Collaborates with Business Analysts, Test Engineers and Test Managers to develop test strategies and plans
• Executes automated test cases and analyzes results
• Evaluates product code according to specifications
• Creates logs documenting testing phases and defects
• Reports bugs and errors to development teams
• Helps troubleshoot issues
• Conducts post-release testing
• Works with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across SDLC
• Configures hardware and environments as needed
• Manages the defect database/logs
