Job summary

Oxley Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to enhance software quality for a Department of Veterans Affairs-related project.

This remote role spans the United States (excluding listed exclusions) and involves automated and manual testing with cross-functional collaboration. The candidate should have 4+ years of automation testing experience, a Bachelor's in CS or related field, and proven skills with Selenium, Jira, and test planning.

Qualifications

• 4 years of automation software testing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent experience developing and executing automated test scripts.
• Excellent experience building test plans.
• Above average experience with Agile methodology and sprint-based testing.
• Above average experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Above average experience creating and maintaining detailed test documentation and reports.
• Experience executing manual test scripts.
• Experience with Selenium Test.
• Experience working with developers and other members of a software development team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience supporting a federal government department (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes system specifications.
• Collaborates with Business Analysts, Test Engineers and Test Planners/Managers to develop effective test strategies, test plans, and procedures.
• Executes automated test cases and analyzes results.
• Evaluates product code according to specifications.
• Creates logs to document testing phases and defects and confirms that requirements are verified and validated.
• Reports bugs and errors to development teams.
• Helps troubleshoot issues.
• Conducts post-release/post-implementation testing.
• Works with cross-functional teams and ensures quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
• Manages the defect database and/or logs.
