Job summary

CenterWell is seeking a Staff Specialty Operations Pharmacist to support processing of specialty orders for home and provider office delivery. You will handle inbound calls from patients and providers, review prescriptions, assess drug interactions, and use guidelines to guide decisions.

The role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, an active license in AZ/FL/OH/TX, and at least two years of relevant experience in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (Bachelor of Science or PharmD).
• Active PHARMACIST license from the Arizona, Florida, Ohio, OR Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• You must reside and work full time within the state(s) listed (Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or Texas).
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience in high-volume settings (retail, hospital, specialty or mail order).
• Experience with Federal prescription programs and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls from patients and providers to review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
• Check for drug interactions using guidelines and resources to support decisions.
• Use problem-solving skills to guide professional decisions within guidelines.
• Handle varying assignments, interpreting guidelines and procedures with independence.
• Make decisions with minimal direction, even in ambiguous situations with support when needed.
• Work independently and in teams to meet goals and deadlines.
