Job summary

CenterWell Pharmacy, a Humana company, seeks a Staff Specialty Operations Pharmacist to ensure compliant processing of specialty orders for home delivery to patients and provider offices. You will handle inbound calls from patients, providers and teammates to resolve clinical issues, including drug interactions and therapy regimens.

Remote position requiring residency in OH, AZ, FL or TX with 2+ years of pharmacist experience in high-volume settings.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license active in OH, AZ, FL or TX.
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience in high-volume settings (retail, hospital, specialty or mail order).
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls from patients and providers to review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Check for drug interactions and use guidelines to support decisions.
• Apply problem-solving skills and use resources for professional decisions.
• Work on varied assignments requiring interpretation and independent action within guidelines.
• Make decisions with minimal direction, sometimes in ambiguous situations.
• Work independently and in a team to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a strong work ethic in a highly productive environment.
