Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare or insurance verification.
• Experience working with specialty medications and prior authorization processes.
• Experience in patient-facing roles, especially involving financial discussions.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages specialty referrals from intake to insurance approval.
• Conducts benefit investigations and verifies coverage details.
• Prepares and submits prior authorization requests to payers.
• Maintains communication with pharmacy teams and prescribers.
• Coordinates financial counseling for patients and explains out-of-pocket costs.

Skills

Strong understanding of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans

Effective communication skills

Familiarity with payer portals

Experience in Microsoft BI

Education
