Qualifications

• Bar Admission: Active bar license in good standing in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of 1+ years of recent litigation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Proven ability to manage 100-200 cases concurrently.
• Log activities in 15-minute increments during the workday.
• Dedicated workspace with reliable Wi-Fi and comfort with virtual tools like Teams and Outlook.
• Willingness to accommodate early morning hearings and Eastern Time hours.
• Preferred: Administrative Law, IEP/Special Education, government or public interest experience, settlement experience.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: Manage a high-volume caseload of 100-200 special education claims.
• Representation: Litigate complex cases and represent the agency in hearings and settlements.
• Administrative Process: Navigate federal and state education laws and regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare and review filings, agreements, and reports.
• Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate fees and resolutions with stakeholders.
• Training and Collaboration: Work with specialists and attorneys; train field staff on compliance.
• Research and Compliance: Analyze case law, gather evidence, and assess settlement demands.
