TemPositions Group of Companies seeks a Hearing Representative for Special Education Claims on a remote, contract basis in the United States. The role handles the full claims process, from intake to resolution, with a focus on high-volume caseloads and settlements.

Active bar admission in any state and 1+ years in litigation are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office & virtual tools is essential; ET daytime hours must be available for hearings.

Qualifications

• Bar admission: active license in good standing in any U.S. state.
• 1+ years of recent litigation experience (more preferred).
• Tech savvy: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic tech troubleshooting.
• Caseload management: capable of handling 100–200 cases concurrently.
• Timekeeping: log activities in 15-minute increments.
• Remote work skills: dedicated workspace, reliable Wi‑Fi, and comfort with virtual tools.
• Schedule flexibility: availability for early morning hearings within ET hours (7 AM–7 PM).
• Preferred experience: Administrative Law, IEP/Special Education, government agency/public interest work, settlement experience.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: manage a high-volume caseload of 100–200 special education claims.
• Representation: prepare for and/or litigate complex cases in administrative hearings and settlements.
• Administrative Process: navigate federal and state education laws and regulations.
• Documentation: prepare and review filings, agreements, and reports.
• Settlement Negotiation: negotiate resolutions and attorney fees with parents and opposing counsel.
• Training and Collaboration: train field/staff and collaborate with specialists and attorneys.
• Research and Compliance: analyze case law and guide on compliance obligations for hearings.
