Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems seeks a Software Engineer for its Ground Software team. The role develops full‑stack software to command spacecraft and process telemetry, supporting manufacturing, launch base operations, mission operations, and customers across satellite programs.

You will design and deploy scalable software, modernize architectures, and collaborate across flight software, I&T, and ops teams to meet evolving user needs and project goals.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field
• 2 years of professional software development experience or a graduate STEM degree
• Programming in at least two of C++, Java, Python
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts (CI/CD, IaC, containers)
• Experience building services on AWS

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend and backend software for a spacecraft ground software system in an agile team
• Design and modernize software for assembly, integration and testing of satellites
• Create test cases and procedures; perform peer reviews
• Document architectures, requirements, algorithms, and interfaces
• Participate in requirements evaluation, design, implementation and testing discussions
• Collaborate with flight software, I&T and mission operations teams
• Identify opportunities to transition legacy systems to modern architectures
• Provide on-call support and improve automated monitoring
