Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an entry-level Software Development Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA, or a US remote location. You will design and implement software for spacecraft simulators used by internal and external customers, learning from experienced engineers and applying Linux, C++, and Python in a real-world space environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering, or degree within 3 months of hire.
• Proficiency with Linux or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience in C++ or Python, debugging, and software development best practices.
• Version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement models of spacecraft components for simulators.
• Follow ICDs and technical docs to build accurate software models.
• Deploy code via CI/CD pipelines and perform unit/integration tests.
• Collaborate across software and systems engineers on design choices.
• Participate in customer-facing design reviews.
