Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC, a subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, seeks a Software Development Engineer to design and implement software for spacecraft simulators in San Jose, CA or a US remote location. You will read ICDs and hardware specs to build accurate models, improve existing simulation code, and deploy code through CI/CD pipelines with automated tests.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Aerospace Engineering; four extra years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• 2 years of professional software development experience, preferably in simulation of spacecraft or other complex systems.
• Proficiency with Linux and with software compilers and development tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience developing software in C++ or Python (C++ preferred for simulation apps).
• Version control experience with Git; debugging and troubleshooting complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement models of spacecraft components and subsystems for software simulators.
• Read hardware specs, ICDs, and docs to develop accurate software models.
• Enhance existing simulation codebases while maintaining architecture and functionality.
• Deploy code via CI/CD pipelines and develop automated tests.
• Collaborate to evaluate design trade-offs and communicate with engineers.
• Write and run unit, integration, and system tests; participate in design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
