Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, seeks an entry-level Software Development Engineer to design and implement software for spacecraft simulators in San Jose, CA or a US remote location. You will learn ICDependencies, apply Linux skills, and contribute to mission-critical simulation projects alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/Math/Physics/Aerospace or related, or degree within 3 months of hire
• Proficiency with Linux or ability to learn quickly
• Familiarity with software compilers and development tools
• Experience (academic or professional) in developing software in C++ or Python
• Debugging and troubleshooting software systems
• Software development best practices
• Version control (Git)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement models of spacecraft components and subsystems for simulators
• Learn and apply ICDs and docs to develop accurate software models
• Adhere to software industry best practices
• Deploy code through CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with team to evaluate design trade-offs
• Communicate with engineers to ensure coherent system design
• Write and run unit, integration, and system tests
• Participate in customer-facing design reviews
