Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an entry-level Software Development Engineer to design and implement software for spacecraft simulators in San Jose, CA, or a US remote location. You will work on models of spacecraft components, apply ICDs, and deploy through CI/CD pipelines while learning industry best practices.

Competenze

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering, or degree received within 3 months of hire date.
• Proficiency with Linux or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
• Familiarity with software compilers and other software development tools.
• Experience (academic or professional) in developing software in C++ or Python, debugging, and version control.

Mansioni

• Design and implement models of spacecraft components and/or subsystems for all-software spacecraft simulators.
• Learn and apply spacecraft hardware specifications, ICDs, and technical documentation to develop accurate software models.
• Deploy code through CI/CD pipelines and adhere to industry best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to evaluate design trade-offs and communicate with engineers for coherent system design.
• Write and perform unit, integration, and system-level tests on software applications.
• Participate in customer-facing design reviews and other technical discussions.
