Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a candidate who can design and implement guidance, navigation and control architectures in an embedded C++ environment, with responsibilities spanning deep analysis and mission-specific ADCS requirements.

The role supports remote work from an approved location and collaborates across disciplines to advance current and roadmap missions. Ideal candidates hold a PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent) with 2–3 years of professional GNC

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent) with 2–3 years of professional GNC experience.
• Strong C++ software skills in embedded environments.
• Experience with GNC analysis and design for spacecraft.
• Experience with ADCS of precision pointing platforms.
• US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in embedded C++.
• Define requirements for ADCS hardware and software systems.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on offline geolocation processing pipelines.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning and validation.
• Contribute to spacecraft flight operations support.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on roadmap development.
• Maintain compliance with security and export controls.
