Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a Legal Intern for a remote, full-time summer role in Columbus, OH. The internship offers exposure to commercial space law, licensing, government contracting, and export compliance while working with experienced attorneys and regulatory specialists.

1Ls and 2Ls are encouraged to apply; no prior space-law experience is required. The team provides mentorship and real impact on Muon’s satellite lifecycle projects and regulatory processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1Ls and 2Ls welcome).
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices that track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures.
• Support the broader Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into clear written summaries and recommendations.
• Assist with additional legal, corporate and regulatory projects as they come up, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping.
