Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a Legal Intern to gain hands-on exposure to commercial space law and regulatory policy while supporting government contracts and export controls.

You will work with experienced attorneys and regulatory specialists, contributing to licensing, compliance matrices, and policy analysis from a remote setting. As part of a fast-growing startup, you will learn across the satellite lifecycle, with mentorship and real impact on Muon Space's operations and growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1Ls and 2Ls welcome)
• Strong research and writing skills
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices that track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures
• Support the broader Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into clear written summaries and recommendations
• Assist with additional legal, corporate and regulatory projects as they come up, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping
