Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Legal Intern for the summer, with a remote, full-time arrangement. 1Ls and 2Ls are welcome, and no prior space-law experience is required. You will work with experienced attorneys on commercial space law, regulatory policy, and government contracts.

You’ll contribute to license tracking, project research, and written summaries that inform Muon Space’s contracting and regulatory decisions, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-growing aerospace startup.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1Ls and 2Ls welcome)
• Strong research and writing skills
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices that track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures
• Support the broader Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into clear written summaries and recommendations
• Assist with additional legal, corporate and regulatory projects as they come up, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping
