Job summary

Muon Space is offering a remote, summer legal internship from May to September for current J.D. students (1Ls and 2Ls welcome). Interns will gain exposure to space law, regulatory policy, and government contracts while working with experienced attorneys in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities include building regulatory matrices, researching commercial agreements and government contracts, and summarizing findings for actionable recommendations, with mentorship from the Legal team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a J.D. program; 1Ls and 2Ls welcome.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn.
• Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices that track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures
• Support the broader Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into clear written summaries and recommendations
• Assist with additional legal, corporate and regulatory projects as they come up, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping
