Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Solutions Engineer to own the merchant relationship from pre-sales to live integration. You will architect integrations across API, SDKs, and plugins, demo for enterprise merchants, and collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering.

You will work on complex, multi-stakeholder deployments for national retailers, guiding developers through implementation and ensuring a seamless checkout experience across web, mobile, and in-store channels.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with mobile SDK integrations on iOS and Android.
• Experience supporting enterprise merchants with complex integrations.
• Hands-on with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Familiarity with major ecommerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, Wix).
• Understanding of ecommerce workflows (cart, checkout, payments, refunds).
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and to engineers.
• Strong written communication for documentation and proposals.
• Ability to manage multiple merchant integrations in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to read code in at least one language to debug implementations.
• Experience using AI tools for research, documentation, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own technical discovery for prospective merchants and map to the right Sezzle integration path.
• Lead product demos and technical presentations for merchant engineering and business stakeholders.
• Design integration solutions across API, SDKs, and platform plugins.
• Write technical proposals and complete RFP responses.
• Support merchant mobile app integrations: SDK implementation and in-app checkout.
• Validate integrations in sandbox and production before launch.
• Troubleshoot live integration issues with Support and Engineering.
• Translate merchant needs into product feedback and push fixes.
• Build and maintain integration docs, runbooks, and enablement materials.
• Act as trusted technical advisor after launch and spot optimization opportunities.
