Job summary

Dynatrace seeks a Solutions Engineer to join the sales engine as a technical expert in Advanced Observability. You will deliver compelling demos, run PoCs onsite and remotely, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to articulate value and drive deals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in observability or APM, strong communication skills, and hands-on experience with web technologies, cloud platforms, containers, and automation. This remote role favors applicants in or near Chicago.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience within the observability space.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with programming/scripting technologies such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js and database.
Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux.
Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure or GCP.
Experience with containers, Kubernetes / OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with automation like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc.

Responsibilities

Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings at trade shows and key customer meetings to promote new business.
Partner with sales reps to identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
Lead PoC creation and cloud-architecture discussions to support multiple POCs.
Present Dynatrace’s vision to customer executives.
Provide technical guidance in Discovery, Solution Evaluation and Solution Proposal stages.
Deliver on-stage demos at events or partner booths.
Gather customer feedback for Product Management to improve market fit.
Collaborate with partners as a technical contact and trusted advisor.
