Job summary

Globalgig is seeking a Solutions Engineer to act as the technical lead from design conversations through renewal. The role blends presales engineering with customer success engineering, owning single-domain opportunities across SD-WAN, SASE, network security, and wireless, from discovery to signature.

Reporting to the VP of Solutions Engineering, you will ensure what is sold can be built and delivered, guide onboarding, Day 2 operations, and ongoing adoption, optimization, and renewal across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of enterprise networking and security, incl. SD-WAN, SASE and SSE, Zero Trust, cloud networking, EDR/XDR
• Working depth in Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet solutions, and wireless solutions
• Ability to run discovery, design, and BOM/SOW independently
• Ability to interpret performance trends and telemetry into recommendations
• Understanding of service delivery models, provisioning workflows, and operational constraints
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engineers and CIO/CISO audiences
• Strong documentation skills for diagrams and write-ups
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and balance presales/post-sale priorities
• Self-motivated with prioritization and escalations while maintaining customer trust

Responsibilities

• Own technical discovery, BOM/SOW, and high-level architecture for single-domain opportunities.
• Partner with Field CTOs to close complex, multi-domain deals with demos, POC, and design at signature.
• Own customer-facing technical docs including architecture diagrams and flows.
• Lead the technical handoff from Sales to Delivery and Engineering, staying engaged through deployment.
• Guide onboarding and implementation, including access to portals, runbooks, and training.
• Transition customers into Day 2 operations and coordinate with NOC on incidents and escalations.
• Build adoption plans across Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet with KPIs.
• Lead quarterly business reviews on performance, SLA adherence, and upgrades.
• Inform customers about features, releases, security, and EOL timelines.
• Drive renewals and expansion with Sales and Channel teams.
• Share feedback with Product Operations and contribute to templates.
• Support the VP of Solutions Engineering with additional tasks.
