Job summary

3M is seeking a Solutions Architect to collaborate with innovative 3Mers worldwide. You will lead technical engagements with hyperscale datacenter customers, translate roadmaps into actionable inputs for product and technology teams, and help shape the AI datacenter strategy for the EBO program.

Based in the United States, this remote role offers exposure to global teams, travel up to 30%, and opportunities to impact 3M's cutting-edge optical interconnect and AI infrastructures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Optical/Photonics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical field
• Five (5) years of experience with hyperscale datacenter customers, AI architectures, optical interconnect, or co-packaged optics technologies

Responsibilities

• Leading technical engagement with hyperscale datacenter customers and compute/networking silicon vendors
• Translating roadmaps and architecture requirements into input for product/technology teams
• Determining how AI datacenter trends should shape the technology roadmap for the EBO program
• Supporting sales, applications engineering, and product development with technical context
• Building conceptual demos and supporting technical marketing initiatives
